Plasmapheresis & Young Plasma Exchange

Cutting edge regenerative procedure.

Get younger, feel younger.

Aging is an inevitable process that leads to a variety of health issues, including cognitive decline, muscle weakness, and chronic diseases. While there is no cure for aging, recent research suggests that a promising treatment called Young Plasma Exchange (YPE) may help mitigate some of the negative effects of aging.

What is plasma and how does it relate to aging?

Plasma is the light amber colored liquid that makes up about 55% of our blood volume. It is composed of water, salts, enzymes, growth factors, hormones, and cytokines and some of our body’s proteins including albumin and fibrinogen.

As we age and are exposed to toxins, our body can mount immune responses which contribute to inflammation. Chronic inflammation can damage healthy cells, tissues and organs which can lead to the development of disabling or life-threatening illnesses, such as Cancer, Type-2 diabetes or Neurodegeneration and more.

By removing the aged plasma through Plasmapheresis, some of these inflammatory processes can diminish or reduce.

What is it?

Plasmapheresis is a blood purification technique to remove aged plasma.. Your blood is withdrawn and up to 1 liter of aged plasma is separated and removed. For the purpose of this procedure, your aged plasma is discarded and the remaining blood components are returned back to your system.

What is it?

Young plasma exchange is a process that involves removing young plasma from a young donor, ages 18- 25, and infusing it into an older recipient.

The goal is to introduce young, healthy plasma into the older recipient's bloodstream.

This young fresh plasma contains a variety of beneficial molecules, including growth factors, hormones, and cytokines, which may help promote tissue regeneration, reduce inflammation, offset some of the negative effects of aging, helps reverse epigenetic aging, restore youthful vitality, reduce effects of autoimmune diseases and improve overall health and wellness and promote longevity.

The young donor provides a sample of blood, which is then processed in a lab to remove the plasma. This plasma is then infused into the older recipient's bloodstream, which is typically done through an intravenous (IV) line. The entire process takes about 1-2 hours.

Benefits of Young Plasma Exchange

Studies have shown that young plasma exchange may have several benefits, including:

Improved Cognitive Function

YPE may help improve cognitive function, such as memory, attention, and processing speed. Studies have shown that YPE can improve cognitive function in older adults with different forms of dementia and mild cognitive impairment. Some clients report almost immediate improvements in brain fog, inflammation, mental clarity and focus.

Improved Physical Function

YPE may also improve physical function, such as muscle strength and endurance. Studies have shown that YPE can improve physical function in older adults with frailty and sarcopenia.

Reduced Inflammation

YPE may help reduce inflammation in the body, which is a common factor in many age-related diseases, such as heart disease and cancer.

Longer Lifespan/Reverse Epigenetic Age:

Animal studies have shown that YPE can increase lifespan and improve overall health in older animals. Current studies have shown up to 15 year epigenetic age reversal in patients that received a 2L plasma exchange with yFFP.
